The Mechanically Compressed Direct Injection Fuel System (MCDi) - XRDi developed and patented – is a breakthrough in small engine design, fuel usage and efficiency

The MCDi fuel system:

  • Allows a 2-stroke engine to run on any liquid fuel (heavy fuel or gasoline): diesel, kerosene, Jet A, JP 5, JP 8, etc. without modification or adjustment

The MCDi system is an engine fuel delivery modification that brings the listed benefits to the host engine, either engines that XRDi has already developed, or your existing 2-stroke. A small compressor assembly attached to the cylinder head, driven by a timing belt from the engine crankshaft, delivers a highly stratified charge to the main combustion chamber via a fuel/air delivery valve known as a poppet valve.
